Case Background

This ongoing data annotation project involves a number of various AI initiatives in the rapidly evolving field of military technology. Throughout 2022–2023, the Label Your Data team has partnered with other Ukrainian AI companies, young startups, and volunteers. For this project, our team was mastering their skills in aerial video annotation for precision artillery correction.

A Custom Request to Label Your Data

The Client approached our Label Your Data team for a MilTech project involving drone footage. Our task was to proficiently annotate elements in the videos gathered from drones (UAVs) and hone our skills in aerial video annotation.

Main challenge

For this AI initiative, our annotators had to expertly annotate the video footage gathered from drones (UAVs) for military applications. In this case, we were also tasked with demonstrating our expertise in Computer Vision data labeling. Yet, the interesting twist was that we were creating a specialized video dataset to train the Client’s artillery correction algorithm.

Our Solution: Qualified Aerial Video Annotation for Precision Artillery Correction

In this project, our dedicated team of trained annotators successfully curated a custom video dataset by expertly annotating video footage collected from UAVs (drones). Our annotators labeled crucial details in the videos, such as target locations and environmental factors impacting artillery accuracy.

Working closely with military staff on the battlefields in Eastern Ukraine, our goal was to train the artillery correction algorithm for MilTech, a critical initiative aimed at improving precision and effectiveness on the battlefield.
