This ongoing data annotation project involves a number of various AI initiatives in the rapidly evolving field of military technology. Throughout 2022–2023, the Label Your Data team has partnered with other Ukrainian AI companies, young startups, and volunteers. For this case, our team performed aerial image annotation to improve the navigation capabilities of the military UAVs.
Today, the development and adoption of cutting-edge AI-powered technologies is a strategically important move on the battlefield. This is crucial due to three reasons:

For this case, the task for Label Your Data was to provide high-quality, secure aerial image annotation services for the Client. The goal of the project was to enhance battlefield support using military drones.
The Client was working on enhancing the navigation system in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) used on the battlefield. The objective here was to employ AI to enhance artillery accuracy through annotating drone-captured footage showing artillery hitting precise targets on the battlefield. Our experts were tasked with labeling images taken from these drones to improve their navigation capabilities and become increasingly helpful for the Ukrainian army.
Using drones to gather strategically important information has been crucial in warfare. One key task is spotting military objects, as it helps identify and locate them.
For this MilTech initiative, we aimed to provide quality image datasets for successful and productive ML algorithm training. We have offered comprehensive data labeling solutions for improving the navigation capabilities of the military drone for battlefield artillery, addressing the specific needs of the Client:
